One of the main attractions of Nuweiba, over a long period of time, was the Dolphin "Olin". Olin lived in the Red Sea in front of Nuweiba Muzeina for strangely long time. The story tells of Olin losing her life partner in 1992 and building a friendship with the local Bedouin Abdullah.

Abdullah, a deaf fisherman, says that swimming with Olin considerably improved his hearing. Scientists however assume that Olin was mentally damaged, and through communication problems on her behalf was not able to belong to a dolphin school. Whatever the case may be, she was an attraction in Nuweiba and the entire Sinai until she died in 2004.
